Networking Event for Munich Visual Artists and Art Professionals 2026 “Sustainability in the Arts”
Networking Event
Considering the ongoing climate crisis and global ecological challenges, the art world is increasingly called upon to engage with key questions surrounding sustainability and environmental resibility. On 24 July 2026, PLATFORM and the foundation The Artist and the Others invite to a networking event for visual artists and art professionals focused on sustainability in the (visual) arts.
5-6.30 p.m. – Panel discussion “Sustainability in the Arts”
Join us for an engaging panel discussion at the intersection of art, culture, and sustainability. Speakers include David Süß, Member of the Munich City Council and Deputy Leader of the Green Party–Rosa Liste Group, Boris Ogura-Maximowitz, artist and managing director of “treibgut”, Rainer Kotzian, president of the Nuremburg University of Music and Chair of the Association of Bavarian Universities of the Arts and Charlotte Stegmayer, project manager at Bayern Innovativ.
7-8 p.m. – Artist Encounters
Following the discussion, the special networking format invites you to connect with fellow artists and art professionals, exchange ideas, and initiate potential collaborations. If you are feeling that you are always running into the same crowd at the openings and art events, this is a chance to meet new people from the field of visual arts in Munich.
The networking event will be held in English. Participation is free of charge, but we kindly ask you to register in advance so we can plan the event accordingly. You’ll find more information and the registration link below.
